Senior Infants

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is our last week of school and we are taking it easy with the workload again and revising the things we did.

We would love for you to ask your child what some of their favourite memories of Senior Infants are e.g. Aistear, Christmas Play, Lego workshop, P.E, Art etc. It would be so lovely to draw a picture or write some of those memories and send to us by Friday. As always, we would love to see any work you are proud of!

We have loved being your teachers this year and you have done great work. Remember to play outside and inside and have a well-earned break! Keep practicing your writing, sounds and tricky words at home and you will be super readers!

We hope you and your families have a lovely Summer and we wish you all the best in First Class.

Best Wishes

Mrs. Dixon, Ms. Walsh and Ms. Fitzgibbon

    • When you are reading/listening to the stories, we still want you to keep making connections, but this week we would also like you to focus on making predictions. (The children have done this before). You can look at the title and the front cover and predict what you think think will happen in the story, throughout reading the story you can make predictions about what you think will happen next and you can predict how you think the story will end!

  • Maths Challenge of the week:
My Mam gave me to buy a treat in the shop. I bought afor 3c and afor 5c. Use a number line to work out how much money you have left.

Oral Language Game: The Barrier Game. Get your Mam or Dad to put a barrier (Book, Bag etc.) so you cannot see each other's page. You will need a page and pencil each.
One person calls out instructions for what to draw and where on the page and both people must follow without looking at each other's. Here are some examples;
Draw a castle in the right corner at the bottom
Draw a dog in the garden beside the castle
Draw a dragon at the top in the middle
Remember no peaking until you've finished!!

Handwriting Workbook;
Now that you have your book at home, why not try to do 1 or 2 pages a week. Remember your proper pencil grip

Just click on the link to get the work for that day!
